VIP Dog Teams Facility Dog Program:
Support for First Responders and Schools!
The VIP Facility Dog Program is a unique initiative designed to bring comfort and support to both first responders and schools. Our highly trained dogs serve as silent heroes, offering assistance, companionship, and a calming presence in the face of challenges. From aiding first responders in their crucial work to fostering a positive environment in schools, our facility dogs make a difference where it matters most.
Empowering Communities with
Goal-Oriented Therapy Dogs!
At VIP Dog Teams, we've redefined the role of certified therapy dogs by taking them directly into our community to facilitate goal-oriented interventions. Our program is distinct, focusing on under-served needs and aiming to make a meaningful impact through Goal-Oriented Therapy Dogs (G.O.T).
The Magic of Pup Club!
Through the Pup Club Reading Program, we’re not just building strong readers; we’re nurturing compassionate individuals. Incorporating a dog’s non-judgmental love into our program is at the heart of VIP’s mission. We believe that these moments of connection and shared stories create a positive and supportive environment that benefits both the children and our therapy dogs.
If you’re like me, you’ve always held immense respect for the incredible individuals who dedicate their lives to being first responders. Maybe you have a family member or friend who is a fireman, policeman, or medical provider. The daily traumas these heroes face is beyond words. This is why VIP Dog Teams has developed our First Responders Facility Dog Program.
Our Facility peer support dogs are the unsung heroes for these heroes, providing comfort and understanding in times of need. They become a source of strength, compassion, and support.
The Oxnard Police Department is receiving a new kind of support from canines! VIP Dog Teams have begun regular visits to the police station to spend some time with the officers and professional staff.
VIP Dog Teams is carrying out its mission, dedicated to improving people’s health through positive interactions with Community Therapy Dog Teams as well as Therapy Comfort K9’s for Police & Fire Departments and Local Schools. The mission is to promote the human-animal bond that transforms lives and leads to healing.
This is our fourth successful year of Pup Club at the Boys and Girls Club. We have an amazing group of volunteers who are certified therapy teams. They bring their dogs every other week.
Do you want to join us?
Purpose: Our primary goal is to build self-confidence in young readers through the unique connection between children and our therapy dogs. Unlike traditional learning environments, our adult volunteers are not here to “teach” or “correct.” Instead, they’re here to encourage and support as children embark on their reading journeys.
In the realm of education, the mental and emotional well-being of students is paramount. Over the last decade, research has illuminated the challenging reality faced by many students dealing with stress, trauma, and adverse circumstances. VIP Dog Teams addresses this with our School Facility Dog Program, recognizing that sometimes, healing comes with a furry companion.
Our highly trained dogs provide a comforting presence, supporting students in their academic journey. Because every child deserves a safe and nurturing space to learn.
You can help by Volunteering to join us with a certified therapy dog. If you are already certified email us here and introduce yourself and we will arrange an evaluation of you and your dog and make plans for you to join us.
